HOW DRIVING ASSISTANT PLUS WORKS.
If you enable Active Cruise Control or Distance Control while you drive, your BMW can also automatically stick to speed limits for you. It also adapts the speed before bends, roundabouts and junctions. It slows down as you approach a bend, using information from the navigation system. Your BMW then accelerates out of the bend and returns to your chosen speed.
The Speed Limit Assist also anticipates situations. If you wish, it will detect the current speed limit and adapt your set speed in line with this. The Speed Limit Info compares camera and navigation data in real time to do this. Your BMW also shows you current speed and traffic restrictions on the driver's display. If you're going too fast nonetheless, you can choose to receive a visual and acoustic warning. If you're too close to the vehicle in front, you'll be notified on the driver's display.
PLEASE NOTE:
Driver assistance systems do not absolve you of the responsibility of driving and monitoring the real traffic situation. You must be alert and ready to take action at all times, especially in the event of danger.
Always check for regional restrictions, for example before using Speed Limit Info.
Features included in the optional equipment only provide support within defined system limits. Functions can be limited in the dark, for example, or in fog and bright light from oncoming traffic.
