At BMW we’ve made a conscious decision to use range figures that reflect what is achievable in real day-to-day use. So for example, when we say that the BMW 2 Series iPerformance Active Tourer has an electric range of up to 25 miles, that’s what you can expect.

The range you can expect from a BMW iPerformance model is influenced by a number of things: your personal driving style, the outside temperature, the terrain your route covers, driving mode, and the use of auxiliary systems, such as air-conditioning, heating systems, and so forth.

We’ve incorporated a reliable system into all BMW iPerformance models that will use the batteries at the point where they can provide maximum benefit. By entering your destination into the car’s navigation system, thanks to Real Time Traffic Information, fitted as standard, it will determine where on the route are the most beneficial places to use the different drive modes. The result is that you can simply enjoy the drive.

To make home charging faster, two versions of the BMW i Wallbox are available as an optional extra. Able to charge BMW iPerformance cars to full capacity in little over two and three-quarter hours, they make the charging process even easier. For charging at public stations a public charging cable is required, also available as an accessory.

The ConnectedDrive App lets you check the charging status of the vehicle, and by setting a departure time you can ensure that the cabin is pre-heated too.

BMW iPerformance vehicles are built to last. The batteries are guaranteed for six years or 60,000 miles, and the cars have a three-year, unlimited mileage warranty.
