The icon. Re-imagined.

BMW M has been combining precise handling and exhilarating dynamics with the open-top freedom of a convertible for three decades. The latest addition to a five-generation family, the BMW M4 Convertible Edition 30 Jahre, is a celebration of this milestone – and is limited to 300 units worldwide.

This special model features enhanced standard equipment above the current BMW M4 Convertible, along with a range of exclusive BMW Individual features.

Open air high performance driving.

Benefitting from the Competition package, the open-top four-seater impresses with 331kW, M quad exhaust system finished in Black Chrome, Adaptive M Suspension with specific SPORT mode and a sportier configuration of the Dynamic Stability Control System and the Active M Differential. It can reach 0-100kph in just 4.3 seconds.

Exterior colours.

There is a choice of two tradition body colours for the BMW M4 Convertible Edition 30 Jahre. Macao Blue metallic gives reference to the open-top high-performance car’s debut 3 decades ago, while Mandarin II is reminiscent of the colour Dakar Yellow, which was available for the second generation of the BMW M3 Convertible.

BMW Individual upholstery.

Two BMW Individual Bicolour Merino leather upholsteries are exclusively available to the BMW M4 Convertible Edition 30 Jahre. Colour combinations include Black with Fjord Blue inserts or Black with Silverstone inserts and feature unique BMW Individual BMW M4 Convertible Edition 30 Jahre embossing in the headrests.

Exclusive exterior features.

Impressive star-spoke M light alloy wheels are included as standard. The 20-inch wheels come in Orbit Grey matt, available exclusively for the edition model only. Additional features include Black Chrome finishers for the M quad exhaust tailpipes and BMW Individual High-gloss Shadow line with extended content in High-gloss Black for the BMW kidney grille, M Side gill and rear model designation.

Special lettering.

Exclusive Carbon Fibre trim with Black chrome finishers and unique 'Edition 30 Jahre 1/300' designation badging adds to this model's special feel. Furthermore, Fjord Blue/Silverstone border ties on the floor mats complement the exceptional Bicolour BMW Individual Merino leather upholstery.

The story behind the legend.

Production of the BMW M3 Convertible began after a hugely successful launch of its saloon counterpart two years earlier. Between 1988 and 1991 a total of 786 first-generation BMW M3 Convertibles were built, with the latter boasting an engine output of 158 kW, making it one of the fastest vehicles of its kind.

Four iterations have followed, each offering additional features and increased power with every generation. The launch of the fifth generation in 2014 saw the change of the model designation to what we are familiar with today: the BMW M4 Convertible.
